Training Aircraft
Summit Aviation boasts the newest and largest fleet of training aircraft at Gallatin Field. Our three DA-20 Diamond Eclipses can be seen buzzing around the Northwest daily, helping our students build cross-country time and learn to master the landing. Our two DA-40 Diamond Stars, equipped with a Garmin G1000 Glass Cockpit and Autopilot, give our students the opportunity to be trained in the advanced technology necessary to fly at the commercial level. The DA-42 Twinstar, one of only a few in the country, is the world’s first and only piston aircraft with an advanced airframe, avionics, and Jet Fuel powered engines. We also have the more economical Cessna 150 trainer, affectionately named the Red Rocket available for private pilot training as well.
